| NORTH TEXAS: The Mean Green are weak along the defensive line, which is going to make things very difficult on the rest of an already subpar unit. But North Texas is still going to find a way to win plenty of games thanks to an offense that should be as explosive as any in the division. As long as quarterback Mason Fine is the signal-caller in head coach Seth Littrell's uptempo spread, the Mean Green are going to be putting up points. They might have to win in shootouts, though'the defense is the only thing holding them back from making serious noise. | | UTAH ST: Quarterback Jordan Love showed promise after taking over the starting job midway through last season, and he'll be well-positioned to take big strides forward as a sophomore. The entire starting five along the offensive line returns, and WR Ron'quavion Tarver and TE Dax Raymond give him big targets to throw to. The real strength of this team is its defense, though, where nine starters are back from a unit that was solid in 2017, especially in the secondary. |
